The Strawberry Queen Ballroom Dine and Dance is an extension of the Strawberry Queen Ballroom Dance Studio to offer students the opportunity to practise what they have learnt in class. It is also to encourage non-students to participate in a social dance program.

What is being planned with the Dine and Dance is that visitors on arriving will mark on a chart on the wall the dances which they want to do. This will then be the basis of the program for the evening.

                                               

It is intended to reach out to caravan owners as once again there are many who like to attend dances when they are passing through a town.  There are two classes of caravan travellers-

 

1. Members of a caravan club
2. Sole travellers who choose to travel either interstate or intrastate.

To provide a service to caravan travellers, a caravan pad has been completed which will accommodate eight caravans and an adjoining grazing paddock has been  prepared which would accommodate at least another fifteen caravans.

 

Entrance to and exit from the property is by forward driving the only reversing necessary is the positioning of the caravan on the site.

 

The Ballroom, which was established by joining four separate buildings together has a variable ceiling height of 1900mm/3000mm and has a sprung floor and will accommodate about fifty dancers. The Dining Hall and Supper Room will also seat about fifty people. As such, large numbers could not be considered.

 

The only condition for caravan travellers is membership of the Strawberry Dance Club and either attend the Dine and Dance or a Sunday afternoon class.

 

All caravan sites are un-powered sites. A disabled four cubicle toilet block is available with a single shower attached to one of the toilets. 

Facilities include swimming pool, table tennis, pool table, BBQ, open play area, and bush walk.  Tranquility Park is a semi-rural establishment in a citified environment. It reflects both a sea change and  a tree change. It is expected to have the first Dine and Dance just after Easter.  If twenty people can attend it will commence.

Bookings are essential. With caravan clubs, a cheque from the club is to be paid prior to arrival and supported by a list of names of caravan owners.  This will save considerable time on checking in.
